It’s focus on abdominal and spinal muscles leads to a stronger more stable core which both relieves pain and prevents injury.

The Pilates method of exercises emphasize the smaller postural muscles that often get overlooked in regular mainstream exercising: deep abdominals, lower back, deep buttocks, inner thighs and hamstrings.

Dancers have studied and practiced Pilates for several generations as a means of achieving length, strength and flexibility, exemplifying the long and lean form achieved through the Method.
